Hello neighbors!
My name is Gil, and I live in Henderson, NV.
I was born in Portland, Maine to a family in the general contracting business. My dad's business, D. Donatelli & Sons was in business for 60+ years.
Why "A Maine Guy?"
To me, Maine is a beautiful, "miniature Alaska". As an adult, I spent 9 years in the western mountains of Maine, where winters are rough and people must have many practical skills to be safe, self-reliant and thrive.
After college in Boston, I built my first home in my sister's Maine barn and subsequently developed/built 2 more homes in Maine for my family. When the cloudy weather overwhelmed my Mediterranean genes, I sought the sunshine of the southwest and fell in love with the desert as my "new ocean".
Recently here in Vegas, I served as a facility manager (and assistant principal K-12) for a 7.5 acre charter school campus for 5.5 years. We had 70,000 sq. ft. of buildings to care for with all those commercial situations as you can image. I then decided to go out on my own to help people with their residential needs.
I prefer small solo projects, but my buddies will join me for the larger projects.
They say "pretension is the number 1 'sin' in Maine". So, if I cannot do the job right, I'll tell you, pass on it , and refer you to other reputable services.
